The US finally got a little love from Bandai Namco Games last month with its first Digimon game release in a number of years with Digimon All-Star Rumble, though it was a very bare bones experience. The other releases in Japan that many fans wanted, including Digimon Adventure never made their way over here, which appears to be the case again with the upcoming Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, set to release in Japan in March for PS Vita. Through Jump Festa, which was held earlier this week, Bandai Namco Games has released a brand new trailer for the game that shows even more why we must get this game in the US.
Going away from the fighting game style seen in Digimon All-Star Rumble, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth returns to the RPG genre that the series was born upon gaming wise. This new trailer shows just why we absolutely must get this game in the US at some point in the future, from the intriguing gameplay to seeing our favorite Digimon all over again.
Outside of the recent game release, the US has not gotten a Digimon game since 2008, so there have been a number of games missed. However, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth has gotten a little more push than any others of recent. A very successful campaign for localization has been confirmed to have caught the eye of Bandai Namco in the last year or two, so maybe there is a chance.
Hopefully the lackluster Digimon All-Star Rumble that likely has not sold well does not ruin our chances of getting this game that looks absolutely fantastic. Make sure to check out the brand new over five minute long trailer for the game below:
