Earlier today at the Anime Expo, publisher Bandai Namco announced that third-person role-playing game Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition coming to the Nintendo Switch and PC on October 18th, 2019. This edition bundles together Cyber Sleuth and Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory. Both games were initially released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita back in 2017 and 2018 respectively. Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth originally launched in Japan in 2015 as a PlayStation Vita exclusive. The game came west the next year on both Vita and PlayStation 4. Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory released in Japan in 2017 and worldwide in 2018. This will be the first time either game will be playable on a non-PlayStation system.
In Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, you play as a hacker in the cyber world of EDEN. A mysterious incident causes you to become half-digitized. In addition to collecting and battling Digimon as you help solve cases and stop the digital world from taking over the real world. Cyber Sleuth — Hacker’s Memory expands upon the first game by giving players more Digimon to collect and battle, a new story, and new areas to explore. There are nearly 600 Digimon to collect between the two games.
The game features turn-based combat with a unique twist in that you can see when each Digimon will attack. Some of the most popular Digimon are featured heavily in the game, such as Agumon and Gabumon.
Bandai Namco didn’t state whether these games will come with the Digimon released through DLC or if there is any new content for returning players such as an English voice track, which the original games famously missed.
