Die by the Blade is an upcoming title by Triple Hill Interactive. Published by Grindstone, the Die by the Blade Kickstarter has finally reached the initial funding goal. Thanks to contributors, the project can now reveal stretch goals. It may come as a surprise to some, but this is typical for any project meeting its goal. While the goal was met, developers are hoping to improve on what they have already.
Die by the Blade Stretch Goals
One of the main goals is to improve upon the animation. Also, they are looking to expand on the character roster that exists already. As for stretch goals, one thing developers would like to do is add in ranged weapons. Developers have stated each character will have a ranged weapon during a fight (used once per round). For those with excellent timing, blocking the ranged weapon won’t be a problem.
Most games allow players to take multiple direct hits before going down. But Die by the Blade sounds like it will keep every player on their toes. Your blade is deadly and kills in one strike. But your enemy’s sword possesses that ability as well. This will be as true a sword fight as one can have in a video game. Developers have placed heavy emphasis on truly learning to use their sword. Players will also be able to take on friends or other players online.
Die by the Blade will release on PlayStation, PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
