Demon Gates is one of many World or Zone Events that players can tackle in Diablo Immortal. With the defeat of the Prime Evils after the events of Diablo II, Hell is experiencing a major power struggle, and one new demon called Skarn has risen up, sending out his loyal followers using the Demon Gates. Here’s how you can join in the battle against Skarn’s demonic army and earn bountiful loots and EXPs while you’re at it.

Demon Gates Event in Diablo Immortal Explained

  • Zone: Realm of Damnation
  • Level Requirement: 56 or above
  • Difficulty: Hell 1 or above

Demon Gates Events will spawn throughout the Realm of Damnation after completing Frozen Tundra. If there’s a player in the Zone when a Demon Gate appears, a notification and countdown timer will show up on your screen, and players will have limited time to enter it. You can use the Auto Navigation mechanic to reach the Demon Gate quickly.

Once inside, you and your team will have to battle off waves of demons while completing objectives. Although Blizzard mentioned that Demon Gates needs to be run with a party of three, you can also face off against Skarn’s army solo if you desire or are brave enough.

The biggest problem about Demon Gates is that their appearances seem to be completely random. Sure, you and your group are able to participate in the event three times per day, but no one knows exactly when and where the Gates will show up in the Realm of Damnation Zone. We’ll update this article when the community managed to find out the secret behind Demon Gates’ appearances. For now, though, we all can just blame Skarn (and Blizzard and NetEase) for this. Here’s an official quote from Blizzard itself:

With that in mind, looking and waiting for Demon Gates to pop up can be time-consuming, so you should focus on other activities in the meantime. Try clearing Bounties, searching for Hidden Lair, and collecting Monstrous Essence for the Bestiary around Realm of Damnation. While you’re at it, you might also want to tackle the area’s Map Completion Achievement.

Demon Gates Rewards

  • Clearing objectives: Hilts.
  • Completing three Demon Gates Events: Equipment drops and Enchanted Dusts.
  • Summon and defeat a demon three times: Hilts x60 and the Demon Gate Achievement.

The Diablo Immortal game is now in Open Beta for mobile via Android, iOS, and PC through Battle.net.
