Diablo 4 is the game that will either make or break Blizzard’s reputation. At least in terms of the Diablo franchise. We already know that fans didn’t like Diablo Immortal at all. Despite that, the game did great financially, and that’s a win for the company. Now, it seems that Blizzard is once again doing weird things with its games. Those who want to buy the Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition should think twice as it will not include the game. This is something strange as every other company sells the game with every edition. But, the idea behind this is still baffling.
Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition will cost $96.66 and won’t include the game
Those with a keen eye have noticed already that among all the goodies, there is no game in this Collector’s Edition. This is pretty strange because, as we said, any other company sells its game with all the editions. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a clear example of how a collector’s edition should be handled. And yes, it includes the game. However, Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition only includes these items:
- Candle of Creation
- Occult Mousepad
- Cloth Map of Sanctuary
- Pin of the Horadrim
- Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition Art Book
- Matted Fine Art Prints
Diablo 4: Trailer, Release Date, Open Beta, More!
Yes, that’s everything that the box will bring. No game, no download code, nothing. We have no idea if this was a mistake on the developer’s part or if they just want to sell goodies and the game separately. Still, this is a very weird choice for a company and we have no idea what is the reason behind it. Still, if you want to buy the Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition without the game, you can pre-order it right now. The items inside it look pretty great and should make fans of the series happy.
