Devolver Digital revealed a new entry in the Monkey Island series with a short teaser trailer. Monkey Island is a classic cult series with many fans who adore it, and they can look forward to Return to Monkey Island.
The teaser for Return to Monkey Island was revealed on the Devolver Digital Twitter account, which dubs it “a new game by Ron Gilbert that picks up where Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge left off.” You can watch the official teaser trailer on Devolver Digital’s YouTube channel.
Return to Monkey Island looks to release sometime in 2022, meaning fans don’t have long to wait before they can return to this delightful world.
Rob Gilbert is back to work on Return to Monkey Island, alongside Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games. Unfortunately, not much else is known about this new entry, but you can now check out the official Return to Monkey Island website.
