Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition has launched digitally with the Xbox Series X and S. It will also be available digitally on the PlayStation 5 at launch on November 12th. Physical copies will be available through various retailers on December 1st. It costs $39.99.
What’s New to Devil May Cry 5
Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will showcase features that enhance the game’s visuals, audio, and performance. Players can enable increased frame rates of up to 120 fps as well as play in 4K fidelity on the consoles that support it. While the Xbox Series X version will utilize ray tracing technology, this feature is unfortunately unavailable on the less-powerful Xbox Series S. In terms of sound quality, the 3D audio has been enhanced so players can hear any enemy movements, no matter the direction they’re attacking from. These crisp visual and audio improvements are sure to lend themselves well to the fast-paced gameplay.
But there’s more to Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition than the next-gen tech features. This version will also include all content from the Deluxe Edition and EX Color Pack. The new Legendary Dark Knight difficulty will challenge players with increased enemies during each fight. And the Turbo Mode will let players slice and dice faster than ever before. Additionally, Capcom has added fan-favorite character Vergil, who is playable for all missions. However, players on past consoles won’t be left in the dark when it comes to the new character. They can purchase Vergil for $4.99 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam starting December 15th.
