Devil May Cry 5 is filled with all the flash and style you’d want out of a DMC game, with tons of ridiculous weapons and combos to pull off. Here’s how to put on your hood (Nero) in Devil May Cry 5. Nero, the hero from Devil May Cry 4, returns once again with a brand new look and costume. You can even put the hood up on Nero’s costume if you’re so inclined, but there’s a bit of a trick to it.
Putting Nero’s hood on is a neat little trick that’ll change his look for the remainder of the mission you’re playing. It doesn’t have any effect on gameplay or anything, but it does make him look pretty darn cool.
Devil May Cry 5: Putting the Hood On
That’s how Putting the Hood On step by step:
- Step 1: Before you can do anything, you’ll need to be in combat and get your style rank up to at least a B ranking. You can’t get the hood if you’re at any lower style ranking in Devil May Cry 5.
- Step 2: Once you’ve hit at least a B, you’ll need to taunt, and there’s a chance that Nero will do a pose where he crosses his arms and puts his hood up.
- Step 3: To be clear, the taunt that Nero executes is random so there’s no guarantee that you’ll get the one you need. You’ll likely need to try and taunt a few times before you can get it.
The good news, however, is once that hood is up it’s there to stay for the rest of the Devil May Cry 5 mission, so you won’t need to do it again.
Devil May Cry 5: How to Get a B Style Rank
Getting a B Style Rank isn’t too difficult overall, but we’ll give you a few tips to get there just in case.
How to Get a B Style Rank in Devil May Cry 5: Method #1
The best way to get to a B is by switching up your combos, and using different attacks. Hit an enemy with your basic combo, then grapple another one using B, then switch up the timing on your attacks to use one of Nero’s other combos.
How to Get a B Style Rank in Devil May Cry 5: Method #2
Using Devil Breakers in Devil May Cry 5 is another good way to easily get your style up, especially with something like Punch Line or Rawhide which hit a lot of times.
For example, shooting Punch Line out then launching an enemy with back+Y(triangle) and doing an air combo, will almost get you entirely to B rank by itself.
Above all, make sure you’re dodging, of course, as getting hit will make your style plummet. It’s a good idea to always be locked onto an enemy in battle so you can dodge at all times.
That’s everything you need to know about how to put on Nero’s hood in Devil May Cry 5.
