If you’re planning a big raid in Destiny, you might not want to schedule this for Thursday, November 13th. The Destiny servers will be down across all platforms for a couple of hours, Bungie has recently announced.

According to Bungie, it’s a “totally planned service outage,” and will be to prepare Destiny for the arrival of new updates, slated to be released over the next few weeks. “During this time, you’ll be unable to play Destiny.”

All of the maintence will be server-side, so Destiny players should expect a system-level patch for the game. The scheduled maintenance for Destiny will begin around 11AM Eastern and end at around 3PM Eastern. This server downtime should be complete before Xur heads to the Tower.

Bungie outlined a number of features coming in future updates on the Weekly Update, and include changes to the way exotic weapons are upgraded, the Dark Below DLC content, new shaders for gear, easier ways to harvest materials for upgrades, and possibly a more benevolent Cryptarch.
