We’re taking a look at the newly added Artifact item that will be part of Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion! Gate Lord’s Eye is the first Seasonal Artifact for the game, and we’re taking a look at all of the mods you’ll be able to take advantage of once you obtain it.
How-to Get The Gate Lord’s Eye Artifact
If you weren’t aware, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is bringing in a Battle Pass that has been popular in other games like Fortnite. Before you get worried, there’s a free version of this pass that everyone can participate in. If you level up the pass to 7, you will unlock The Gate Lord’s Artifact.
How-to Level Up Your Artifact
Leveling up your artifact will be quite important because it determines how many mods you can have unlocked at one time. The way to level up your artifact is purely based on earning XP. This will be used for both unlocking mods and gaining power bonuses.
What Do The Mods Do?
Your artifact comes with 25 total mods that you can possibly enable. You will be able to have 12 available to you at one time, but you can always go back and change what you have decided to unlock. Any of the mods that you unlock will be available for adding to your armor. These are essentially like weapon/armor mods from the past, but you don’t need to loot these particular ones. Some of these are absolutely going to be required for certain Strikes, Nightfalls, and other events you take part in. If you check out the list below, you’ll see certain ones refer to being strong against specific enemies and their abilities. You or someone in your Fireteam will need some of these equipped to take down some of the powerful enemies you come across in the new expansion.
Resetting Your Artifact
Not happy with your unlocks? Well, it’s going to cost you a bit of currency to reset it. It starts off at 10,000 Glimmer, and each future reset will cost more than the last.
