Destiny 2 Season 18 is just around the corner, and with it comes the return of Iron Banner. Also, this competitive PvP mode pits Guardians against each other in a race to earn the most points. The first event will occur on September 6, and the second on November 15th. In addition to the usual Iron Banner fare, Destiny 2 Season 18 will introduce the new Eruption mode. The Eruption is Clash with energy boosts based on kill streaks. When you kill your opponents in Eruption, you get one point and an average amount of energy. You become ” Surging” after you’ve reached your second consecutive elimination without dying (assists are accepted). For a brief time, this gives you extra defense and makes you more resistant to damage. While Surging, you earn additional points, so keep the pressure on once you’ve started.
