How to Get Mindbender’s Ambition in Destiny 2

You can only get Mindbender’s Ambition through the Nightfall activity. However, it’s a bit more difficult than just playing the activity and hoping it will drop. Each week the weapons that are tied to the activity rotate out. So, you have to catch it on a specific week. If you check this link, you can see the weapon availability each week!

Keep in mind that the difficulty you play Nightfall on determines Destiny 2‘s Mindbender’s Ambition drop rate. If you play on easier difficulties, there will be a much smaller chance that you will end up with the weapon you want. Here are the difficulties vs. weapon rarity:

  • Hero – Uncommon

When it comes to PVE, we’re going to be looking at a pretty typical PVE god roll. The Smallbore is the barrel selection because it increases Destiny 2‘s Mindbender’s Ambition’s range and stability. Assault Mag boosts firerate, allowing for more DPS. Pugilist is perfect for melee-focused builds if that’s what you’re going with, and Threat Detector gives you buffs to weapon stats. One-Two Punch is great for single targets, while Incandescent is awesome for clearing groups of enemies.

For the final selection, Fragile Focus will give you even more range, whereas Swashbuckler will give you a huge bonus to damage.
