Destiny 2 features more than enough weaponry and armor for players to get their hands on. Everything from your standard pistol-like sidearm to a massive rocket launcher is available and is even better in Exotic form with unique perks tied to each piece of gear. Particularly when it comes to Exotic gear or Legendary gear with high stat rolls in particular sections, you’ll want to ensure you can keep that gear despite finding new gear at a higher Light level. You can do so with Upgrade Modules, but how do you get this resource? No need to worry; in this guide, we’ll explain exactly how to get Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2!
How to Get Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2
With how many you’ll have to use, you can thankfully get upgrade modules in many, many ways. The first, and most reliable if you want immediate results, is to speak to either Banshee-44 or Ada-1 in the tower. These two Exo characters can let you purchase Upgrade Modules for an array of resources that change each day. Provided you have these resources though, they can be useful in a pinch. Another great way is to rank up at particular Ritual Vendors (Commander Zavala, Lord Shaxx, etc.). Any place you can level up by completing activities or providing resources can potentially give you Upgrade Modules, which you can find on that vendor’s particular upgrade track.
Depending on what you’ve done already, you can also get Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2 through the Witch Queen campaign and Season Pass. For the Witch Queen side of things, your first completion of each encounter (that’s battles during the missions, not the missions themselves) can net you an Upgrade Module. You can get an additional one if you’re playing on Legendary, which of course increases difficulty but could be worth it for the additional resources. As for the Season Pass, certain levels can reward you with an Upgrade Module. Check the page through your in-game menu to know how close you are to another Module. Either way, hopefully, you get enough Upgrade Modules using our tips!
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
