Ever since its debut years ago, Merciless has always been out of any Guardian’s radar no thanks to its mediocrity. However, Destiny 2 Season 19: Season of the Seraph gives a much-needed buff — Conserve Momentum stacks won’t disappear on kill and very fast reload from Feeding Frenzy — turning Merciless into an absolute beast in PvE. Here’s how to get the Merciless Exotic Solar Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Merciless Exotic Fusion Rifle – Destiny 2: Season 19

The Merciless Fusion Rifle can only be obtained through Exotic Engrams. These are the three best methods to obtain Exotic Engrams:

  • Season Pass.
  • Xur, buy the weekly random Exotic Engram.
  • Nightfall: The Ordeals.

There isn’t much else to say about farming Exotic Engrams other than the fact that you will want to grind through endgame Activities on higher difficulties (Legend, Master, and Grandmaster) for a higher chance of them dropping. Despite this, you will always receive new armor or weapons as a reward from any Exotic Engrams you obtain so you might gain something else you need.

How to Complete Merciless Catalyst in Destiny 2

Merciless Catalyst can be found through kills and/or completion of Strikes and Nightfall Activities. As you can expect, you are going to have to grind quite a bit since this all depends on your luck. Meanwhile, the objective for the Catalyst is just a simple grind: you need to get 500 kills in order to unlock the Merciless Catalyst.

To farm some mobs, it seems most Guardians still recommend the Shuro Chi Checkpoint in the Last Wish Raid. You should be able to easily find numerous Shadow Thrall in the entryway while stronger enemies are waiting in the hallway — just keep in mind that ammo is pretty hard to come by here. Farm them by defeating most of them first and then do a reset by getting killed or letting the timer end.
