The Exo Stranger isn’t the only notable feature in Destiny 2. The awaited Season 18 is here, and pirate-lovers can find delight in these new changes. Dubbed the Season of Plunder, your task is to build a crew and raid enemies across the galaxy as space pirates. With this comes the need to find certain currencies if you want to get anywhere. In Destiny 2 Season of Plunder, you must track down Map Fragments during your adventuring. There is only one way to do this, and we’ll help you find them and show you how to use them.
How to Get Map Fragments in Destiny 2
With the patches and updates completed, it’s time to jump back into Destiny 2 for some interesting battles. Season of Plunder offers some fun pirate activities for Destiny 2 players. One of these activities ties into the Map Fragments. If you want Map Fragments in Destiny 2, you must complete the Ketchcrash missions. Ketchcrash is among the new seasonal activities.
Consisting of ship-to-ship combat, Ketchcrash involves a six-person operation. This activity entails you and your pirate crew heading off against an enemy Ketch ship with Map Fragments, one of the many rewards. When you board them, you will battle throughout the lower decks. Eventually, you make your way to the top to face off in a boss battle against the ship’s captain.
When the fighting is complete, you will gain plenty of loot to take back to your ship. Included in this loot are Map Fragments, and you’re now one step closer to restoring lost Treasure Maps in Destiny 2.
How to Use Map Fragments in Destiny 2
You can’t use Map Fragments on their own in the game. Instead, Map Fragments work alongside Treasure Coordinates. These two currencies work with your Captain Atlas to create a Treasure Map. With a Treasure Map in hand, you can now embark on hunting down lost treasures.
