Destiny 2 Season 17 Solstice 2022 event is here, and the new Bonfire Bash Activity sees the return of the unique European Aerial Zone (AEZ) area. In this event, you’re tasked to build and stock Bonfires while waves of enemies will attempt to extinguish them to obtain the event currency, Silver Ashes. Nevertheless, Bonfire Bash rewards seem hard to claim, and Destiny 2 Guardians are having trouble progressing the “Celebrating Solstice” Quest.
How to Claim Bonfire Bash Rewards in Destiny 2 Solstice 2022 Event
Bungie loves using weird, cryptic jargon in Destiny 2, so the first thing you need to remember is that to get Silver Ashes, you have to collect Silver Leaves during the period of the Solstice 2022 event. Silver Leaves can be acquired from most Activities, including Public Events, Playlists, and Throne World Activities (with Mayhem being the fastest way to farm Leaves). Afterward, you can convert the Silver Leaves into Silver Ashes.
This is where the EAZ Bonfire Bash event comes to play. To convert the Leaves, you must complete a Bonfire Bash Activity while wearing at least one piece of the Solstice-exclusive Candescent armor set that can be obtained from Eva Levante in the Tower. For 1 Silver Leaf, you’ll get 5 Silver Ashes, and while the number of Bonfire Ignitions determines how many will be converted, there’s a limit of 20 Ignitions per run. This means, at most, you can only get 100 Silver Ashes for every 20 Silver Leaves.
You don’t have to interact with the Bonfire to claim the Silver Ashes; they will be automatically converted — but you can accidentally leave the Activity before it happens. In terms of drops, the Bonfire in the middle of the EAZ will only spit out Blue Engrams, Hand Cannons, or Shotguns as the reward. For that reason, make sure that you actually:
- Have collected Silver Leaves from other Activities beforehand.
- Beat the boss and complete the Bonfire Bash run.
- Claim the dropped Engrams from the Bonfire.
- And have confirmed that you’ve gotten your share of Silver Ash.
Also, another tip before I go. You can use the Sparrow in Bonfire Bash and stoke the flame from a long enough distance if you aim a bit high and no enemies are blocking your line of sight.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
