Destiny 2‘s 16th Season, Season of Risen, is ending with a re-run of the Guardian Games event, a fun-filled competition between Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters. There are a number of quests, including dailies, weeklies, and ones that reward you with free guns, such as The Title and Heir Apparent. The “Top of Class” Quest Walkthrough in Destiny 2
You will be able to unlock the quest after finishing the introductory “Best in Class” Quest. There are only two steps needed to complete the “Top of Class” quest. While they are practically easy depending on your skill, they can be finished much faster.
1. Complete the “Wreathed in Laurels” Quest
The first thing you have to do is to unlock and fulfill the requirement for the “Wreathed in Laurels” Quest. Simply speak with Eva Levante again at The Tower after finishing the “Best in Class” Quest to open the “Top of Class” and “Wreathed in Laurels”. Your first task is pretty easy: acquire 50 Laurels.
In case you missed the memo, you just have to don this year’s Guardian Games equipment and start destroying opponents to find Laurels. Laurels are dropped when you defeat enemies and other players during Guardian Games using Class abilities and Supers, including melee and grenades; 3 points from players with the same Class and 1 point from different Classes. However, uncovered Laurels won’t go to the Postmaster. Meanwhile, in Gambit and Crucible matches, Laurels will be awarded after a match.

2. Complete the “Machine Gun-Focused” Quest
Once that’s over, now you need to defeat 100 enemies using a Machine Gun while playing in the Daily Focus or any Guardian Games 2022-specific playlists. You and your Fireteam can run Strikes or Gambit and Crucible matches if confident in your PvP abilities. Especially since killing other Guardians will give you more points.
After picking whichever Activities you prefer, with 100 opponents destroyed from the plane of existence, go back to Eva Levante to claim yourself a free Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun and complete the “Top of Class” Quest in Destiny 2’s Guardian Games 2022.
The “Top of Class” Quest Heir Apparent Bug in Destiny 2
Note that if you have acquired Heir Apparent catalyst in a previous Guardian Games, there’s a bug that gives you a “The Competitive Catalyst” Quest. You can safely dismantle it according to Bungie.
