“Gone But Not Forgotten” is a 10-step Event Quest that Destiny 2 Guardians can complete to unlock various features in the Festival of the Lost, including an exclusive new Sniper Rifle — the Mechabre. This quest involves players completing assignments given by Eva Levante, the Guardian Outfitter vendor. To get started on “Gone But Not Forgotten,” players must speak to Eva, who can be found in front of the decorated tree in the Tower’s central courtyard. This quest will be available until November 8, 2022, which is also the end of the Festival of the Lost event in Destiny 2.

Completing Gone But Not Forgotten in Destiny 2

After accepting “Gone But Not Forgotten” from Eva in Destiny 2, the first step that participants must complete is choosing a Masquerader’s Helm, a free Festival Mask that must be worn to complete this quest. Players are advised to choose a mask that corresponds with their Energy type in Destiny 2.

How to Get the Savathun Mask in Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost

YouTube content creator Ordinary Sense recommends that Destiny 2 Guardians use their Glimmer to purchase all the Festival Bounties from Eva, as it will grant them the opportunity to earn bonus XP, Bright Dust, and Candy. After speaking with Eva, equip the chosen Masquerader’s Helm and talk to Eva again to receive a Spectral Page. Next, players must enter the Haunted Sectors Playlist and clear an instance with the Festival Mask equipped. This instance will task Guardians with capturing ten zones and slaying their corresponding elite Headless Ones. Afterward, a formidable boss will spawn, and players must defeat it to complete the sector.

After clearing a Haunted Sector, the players’ Spectral Page will have converted into a Manifested Page. Speak with Eva to accept the next part of the “Gone But Not Forgotten” quest in Destiny 2 and then use the Manifested Page to unlock Lore in the Book of the Forgotten. This Haunted Tome can be found on a pedestal next to Eva in the Tower. After unlocking a Shrouded Page, talk to Eva again to accept the final step of the quest. Open up the Event Challenges page in the pause menu and claim the first item in the reward path for the Festival of the Lost. If players interact with Eva, they can complete the quest and receive the Mechabre weapon.

Destiny 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
