How to Complete the Exile Ended Triumph in Destiny 2

In order to complete the Exile Ended Triumph off of your Destiny 2 Season 17 seasonal to-do list, you’ll have to defeat one specific (and elusive) elite enemy called the Shield Warden aboard the Derelict Leviathan in the Pleasure Gardens area.

If you’re wondering how this event starts (like many other Guardians as well), unfortunately, you will have to wait it out around the yellowish-orange dome where you can see an NPC prisoner inside. Seriously. Since the Shield Warden is considered a normal elite mob, there isn’t a specific message or any visual indicator on the map that indicates the encounter. To make things worse, if another player managed to defeat the Shield Warden first, you have to wait until it shows up again. First come, first served, I guess.

Once the Shield Warden is defeated, you will unlock the Exile Ended Triumph and rescue Optus Haseth, Coalition Ally, from his prison. It is a part of the A Guardian is a Guardian, Even in a Nightmare Triumph along with three other Triumphs:

  • At the Behest of the Empress: On the Derelict Leviathan, defeat a troublesome Loyalist commander.
  • Battle Lines: Kill a Loyalist force defending its territory.
  • Shared Fears: Kill Cek’ik, Seeker of the Deep.

Reaper Title Triumphs

  • Severance: Complete all seven steps for the “Bound in Sorrow” mission.
  • Vendor Upgrades Unlocked: Unlock all 18 upgrades for the Crown of Sorrow.
  • Tritainment: Successfully defeat each Tier III Nightmare Containment boss:
  • Elykris, the Machinist
  • Anaphex, Sworn to Otzot
  • And Navota, Eir-Spawn
  • Harvester of Sorrows: Bind Nightmares after completing Tier III Nightmare Containment activities.
  • Malicious Haunt: Defeat combatants and Guardians with Season of the Haunted weapons. Defeated Guardians grant additional

  • Reaper’s Blade: Defeat combatants on the Derelict Leviathan with the Scythe.
  • Opulent Avarice: Open locked chests with Opulent Keys on the Derelict Leviathan.
  • Hear, Don’t Head: In Sever activities, find and listen to all six of Calus’ automatons.
  • #1 Fan: Collect all of the dignified effigies of Calus aboard the Derelict Leviathan and proudly display them in the H.E.L.M.

Shadow’s Return Triumphs

  • Fever Dream: Defeat each of the powerful Nightmares within Haunted Alcoves on the Derelict Leviathan and claim the associated Triumphs.
  • Sporest of Beasts: Clear the Haunted Alcove guarded by resting hounds and kill Nightmare of Carun, Beastmaster.
  • Nightmare Breached: Clear the Haunted Alcove opposite Calus by killing:
  • Nightmares of Kra’lok, the Sword
  • And Ha’lok, the Shield
  • Drainage: Clear the Haunted Alcove connected to an old, unused passage by killing Nightmare of Qalec, the Sniper.
  • Ritual Under Shadow: Clear the Haunted Alcove passageway containing Nightmare of Sy’ad, the Unending.
  • A Guardian is a Guardian, Even in a Nightmare: Assist Coalition troops by defeating Loyalist commanders on the Derelict Leviathan.
  • At the Behest of the Empress: Defeat Au’gor, Devoted of Calus and Jai’ek, Supplicant of Calus.
  • Exile Ended: Kill a Loyalist commander and release its prisoner.
  • Battle Lines: Kill a Loyalist force defending its territory.
  • Shared Fears: Kill Cek’ik, Seeker of the Deep.
  • Get to Taking Out Their Commanders, One by One: On the Derelict Leviathan, defeat two bosses within the Royal Pools:
  • Nightmare of Ky’leks, the Docked
  • And Nightmare of Evoks, the Burned
  • Controlled Burn: On the Derelict Leviathan, defeat two bosses within the Pleasure Gardens:
  • Nightmare of Tlazet, Fed to Beasts
  • And Nightmare of Uaoc, Spine Breaker
