A deserted account in the Clash of Clans game without a boat receives the tenth-anniversary cake. A user on Reddit today spotted this phenomenon that has sent the Clash of Clans community wandering. The users wonder how possible it is that an abandoned account from several years would receive the cake just recently.

Clash of Clans Inactive Accounts

Without a boat, the account was inactive even before the builder base update from 2017. Usually, when a player stops attending to an account, they stop receiving updates from the CoC game.

In fact, when you come back to the Clash of Clans account, you’ll find that other players have looted it so highly. Similarly, you may be without a village, and your league board scores become empty.

Generally, inactive accounts don’t often receive recent features. Therefore, u/RRecap was amazed to find the 10th-anniversary cake from a few months ago in an account that was last active more than five years ago.

How Inactive Accounts Get New Features from CoC

When an account remains stagnant for an extended period, it is eventually removed from the multiplayer matches. In turn, the base stops getting any attacks from players and stops attracting the attention of Clash of Clans. If the owner doesn’t log in to his account, the account remains inactive for several years.

However, a different player with different credentials can activate the Clash of Clans account without having a player login. As discussed earlier, when you stay away from your creation long enough, you stop getting listed in matches. Thus your base becomes ‘invisible.’ However, the ground remains, and any player can visit it at any time. When a player visits your base, the server will read the account and activate it.
