Dennis Quaid has created the production company Bonniedale with Ben Howard and his wife Laura Quaid. He and his partners have big film and television projects planned. One of the first projects is American Pride about the famed country and gospel singer Charley Pride. The Empire writer Dianne Houston will be writing the script for the film. Craig Brewer, who directed Dolemite and Coming to America 2, will be directing the picture. The production company Bonniedale will produce with Craig Brewer as well. Quaid will star in the biopic as “Cowboy” Jack Clement; he wrote and recorded many of Charley Pride’s hits. Clement so happened to be a mentor to Dennis Quaid for his own music career. Laura Quaid and Ben Howard are equally eager to make the biopic. Howard had previously produced the film Blue Miracle, starring Quaid.

Dennis Quaid Continues a Prosperous Career with His Partnership with Laura Quaid and Ben Howard

Dennis Quaid has had a career spanning over four decades. He has been in such films as The Right Stuff, The Parent Trap, The Day After Tomorrow, A Dog’s Purpose, and Vantage Point. The longtime actor has been nominated and won many awards such as Screen Actors Guild Awards and Saturn Awards. Now, with the creation of the production company Bonniedale, Quaid can make stories he is passionate about. He, Laura Quaid, and Ben Howard plan to make movies as eclectic as Dennis Quaid’s career. Laura Quaid has obtained the rights to Aimee Mayo’s memoir Talking to the Sky. Ben Howard plans to produce The Long Game, about caddies that aren’t allowed to play golf at the country club they work at. Regarding the choice of movies Quaid remarked, “I think you can figure out we like true stories.”

His partners for the production company Bonniedale, Laura Quaid and Ben Howard, seem to be on the same page. Since Bonniedale has broken ground with its Charley Pride project, critics will have to wait and see how Bonniedale pays its respect to the late singer.
