Demons Ate My Neighbors! is a new horror-theme twin-stick shooter by Turned-Out Games. Published with the help of HumanNature Studios, the game takes place in an alternate version of 1991. Thanks to a cursed VHS tape, the town of Fairweather Valley has been invaded by demons. April and Joe must forego their summer plans and save their town before it’s too late.
Demons Ate My Neighbors! Gameplay and Release
While demons do roam the streets of Fairview Valley, there are still living people that need to be saved. To fight the roaming demons, one must load up their Splasha squirt guns with a fair amount of holy water. You’ll face off against Vampunks, Zombos, and various other hellspawn as you deliver your town from evil in Demons Ate My Neighbors!.
Whether you’re fighting with demon bosses or trying to reign in a possessed neighbor, you have two choices. Will you DAMN their souls back to hell, or will you DELIVER them from their torturous prison? The decision you make is wholly dependant on the weapon you choose to dispatch an enemy with. Many of the choices you make in Demons Ate My Neighbors! will determine the available equipment and paths you take.
Rest assured that you need not take on the demon horde alone. Bring a friend along for the fray as you upgrade your weapons using Nitro Splashtanks to help tear through larger groups. Vault your shots off of fire hydrants and watch the holy water take out every minion it touches. Don’t forget your RadWatch, either. This will help you find survivors as you upgrade it.
