The official Pokémon Unite Twitter page has announced the arrival of a brand new Pokémon to be added to the game’s roster, that Pokémon being Decidueye. The final evolution of the Generation 7 Grass/Flying Starter Pokémon, Rowlet, was officially announced for Pokémon Unite in a reveal trailer earlier this morning, where its release date was revealed to be November 19, 2021.

Decidueye Moveset, Battle Pass Update, and the Current Roster

The addition of Decidueye to Pokémon Unite brings the current of Pokémon available in the game to 27 available fighters. The move set for the Grass/Ghost-type seems to include a variety of ranged grass and leaf-based attacks, like Razor Leaf, as well the use of its signature arrow weapon. It appears to be able to focus on both offense and support.

The most recent addition before Decidueye was Greedent, who was added as part of the Halloween Festival celebration held from October 20, 2021, to November 7. The most recent update for Pokémon Unite begins the season of the games’ second battle pass – titled Sun, Sun, Sunshine – which brings a variety of new Holowear and features for players to enjoy.

The pass began on November 8, shortly before information regarding the release of Decidueye was first teased, and brings Sunshine Style Holowear for Venusaur and Adept Style Holowear Charizard, in addition to chic new fashion items for Trainer avatars. The battle pass offers 90 levels with unique missions and corresponding rewards, and players can complete up to three missions per day to obtain battle pass points in addition to the weekly and seasonal missions held to unlock new rewards.

The release of Decidueye is expected to correspond with the length of the battle pass, possibly with new Holowear of its own in addition to this season’s rewards. Be sure to stay up-to-date with The Nerd Stash for more information on Decidueye and Pokémon Unite!
