The stylish time travel murder party Deathloop is the newest outing from Arkane Studios. One of the new introductions to the game, when compared to the studio’s other titles, is its PvP multiplayer component. Don’t get it confused, this isn’t your typical deathmatch, rather it is more akin to the invasion system seen in Dark Souls. As you traverse the island as Colt, other players can take control of the character Julianna and hunt you down. While a fun twist on the gameplay, some people might not want to deal with the hassle of other players. Luckily, you can turn off this feature. This guide will show you how to turn off PvP invasions in Deathloop.
How To Turn Off PvP Invasions in Deathloop
To turn off the PvP invasions in Deathloop, all players need to do is set the game to “Single Player” mode. During the game’s tutorial and prologue, the game will default to this mode, but once you past this, you will need to manually switch over to ensure you don’t have other players invading your game. To do this you need to go to the game’s main menu and selecting “Break the Loop” or leaving the location you are playing in through the orange exit marker. This will bring you to your planning menu where you are able to look at things like your loadout, levels, and clues on how to take down your targets.
At the top left of the screen, you will see your name next to the settings menu and underneath it, on the same banner, it will say the mode that the game is in. Simply click on the banner until it switches to “Single Player” mode. Once you do that, there will be no more PvP invasions in Deathloop unless you decide to switch it back. You should know that Julianna will still spawn in your game, though she will be controlled by an AI rather than a player. This turns her from a PvP encounter into just a more powerful enemy. Whichever one is coming after you, it is still in your best interest to not let her get the drop on you.
Deathloop is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
