Deathloop has now been available for a few days, letting players jump into the shoes of Colt Vahn and attempt to take on eight visionaries in a single day. With the threat of one visionary consistently hunting him, and a whole host of cult members looking to take him down, Colt must use every minute to his advantage if he’s to accomplish this task. While using every minute to your advantage, some top-tier gear will be necessary. There’s a way to keep this top tier loot between loops though, and if you’re confused as to how, we’re here to help. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly how to infuse gear in Deathloop!

Deathloop: How to Infuse

For starters, to infuse gear you’ll want to make it to the end of a particular loop without dying. This means if you got a great piece of gear in the morning, you’ll have to get through the noon, afternoon, and evening before you can make that gear permanent. Whether you go through it normally or fast forward to the end of the day (the latter one is completely respectable), you’ll be prompted with two choices. Either infuse your gear before heading into the next loop or straight up head into the next loop. As you might’ve guessed, you’ll want to choose the first option.

In this menu, you’ll have access to a full range of options including trinkets, slabs, and weapons. Depending on what gear you want to save, you’ll want to head to the appropriate tab and select the piece of gear you want to infuse and infuse it! Keep in mind that you may not have enough Residuum to infuse this gear. This can be gotten out in the wild, either through killing visionaries and collecting it or collecting it off glowing objects. If you didn’t get enough before heading to this screen though, you aren’t completely out of luck. You can “sacrifice” some of the gear you have to gain Residuum, so you can be a little picky with what you infuse.

Deathloop is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
