During a visit in Finland, Hideo Kojima has met Sam Lake at Remedy Entertainment’s headquarters.
Lake and his crew are huge fans of Kojima, and once learned he was in Helsinki they tried all their best to set a meeting (we suspect, by looking at his Twitter account, The Game Awards’ Geoff Keighley helped to do the job).
A photo from the meeting was shared by the Finnish writer and creative director himself, where he took some time to discuss what Death Stranding is going to be about.
According to the creator of Max Payne and Alan Wake, the game “dares to push the boundaries,” even though we’re don’t know yet from which perspective.
On a personal note, he said Kojima is “an inspiration.”
“It’s wonderful to be able to compare notes. Happy and honored to call him a friend,” Lake added, sharing all his passion for the work of the Metal Gear author.
Remedy’s Control is releasing in 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, while Death Stranding, well, doesn’t have a release window yet but could be one of the surprise of the year for PlayStation 4.
