Aki Saito, head of communications and PR at Kojima Productions, has shared an interesting piece of information from the studio’s recent visit at Guerrilla Games with a copy of Death Stranding.

As we’ve already reported in the last few days, Hideo Kojima and some of his co-workers have been in Amsterdam to show the creators of Decima Engine the fruits of their work.

Kojima brought with him a copy of Death Stranding and particularly a private demo that he played in front of the Dutch dev team himself.

According to Saito, that private demo included the first two hours of gameplay, which we suppose have already been completed in terms of development.

“Showed the first 2 hours of gameplay to our Guerrilla brothers. Yes, Hideo was demonstrating it!,” he said on Twitter.

“The game is not fully completed… yet,” he precised.

“The picture show’s the friendship between us! Keeps our mutual secrets here!,” the Kojima Productions staffer added, showing the box that contained the Decima Engine three years ago, when the teams started their cooperation.

It’s an interesting piece of information, as said, although we can’t tell just from it what is the status of the project.

It’s been hinted at a possible release of the game in 2019, in multiple occasions, even though there’s nothing sure on the topic as of now.
