In Death Stranding, you play as Sam Bridges, a delivery man who must journey across the apocalyptic United States connecting cities back together. The gameplay will revolve around maneuvering across vast stretches of land and taking on enemies to survive.

While the game will be coming to PC, it will remain an exclusive on the PlayStation 4. No surprise there, given that Sony has assisted in funding the development of the game.

The Bizarre Road of Death Stranding on PC

The road to this announcement is a bizarre one, given how early hints lead people to believe the game was coming to the PC. A Q&A listed that the game would come to PS4 first then PC after, but was deleted after speculation if the game would remain a PlayStation exclusive.

Death Stranding will release on PC by 505 Games, who have recently published games including Remedy Entertainment’s Control and Lab Zero’s Indivisible. In a statement, 505 Games cofounder and CEO Raffi Galante said how excited he was to bring Death Stranding to PC and the opportunity to share the experience with more players.

This will also mean that the Decima Engine, which also powers Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn, will be playable on PC for the first time.

505 Games have not said which storefront Death Stranding will come to on PC. While the obvious answer would be the growing Epic Games Store, 505 Games have put games onto Steam so there is no clear answer on where it will end up.

Even if it was a rocky road to get here, it will be exciting to see what becomes of Death Stranding on the PC. For PlayStation 4 players, they will be able to get in on the action earlier on November 8, 2019.
