Marvel released a new trailer for its Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man limited series. The new trailer, which coincides with the release of issue #1, features new music by issue writer Taboo. The five-issue run follows Peter Parker as he lands on the West Coast and into a waking nightmare.

What’s the Limited Series About?

The series, written by Black Eyed Peas member Taboo and B. Earl, features art from Juan Ferreyra. The limited series features a much darker take on Spider-Man. It all kicks off with Peter Parker making his way to sunny Los Angeles. However, L.A. is overrun with demons that want to prey on the wall crawler’s greatest fears. If that wasn’t enough, Parker’s own dark side is awakened by these demons. This sends him on a journey that ends with the emergence of the Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man!

Deadly Neighborhood Trailer

To give fans a taste of what awaits within the pages of the Deadly Neighborhood Series, Marvel released an all-new trailer. The trailer features never-before-seen artwork of Spider-Man facing off against the series’ main villain, Demon bear. Plus, it features an all-new track from Grammy Award-winning artist Taboo called “Welcome to the Neighborhood.”

Speaking to Marvel, Taboo shared how this project was an absolute “Fanboy dream come true.” Not only does it bring Spider-Man to his city of Pasadena, but it lets Taboo live out a dream he never thought possible. While the story is a crazy roller coaster of a read, that is not all that fans can expect from Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man. It also pays homage to the classic horror films of the 80s that Taboo and B. Earl love.

Meanwhile, B. Earl shared that it is not “everyday you get to live your 11-year-old dream and play with Marvel’s biggest toy in the toy box”. He enjoys the chance to get really “weird and wild” with Spider-Man. Taking the Marvel hero to places he has never been before.

The limited series, Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 is out now.
