A television anime version of the Dead Mount Death Play manga has been announced. With this, the author has released a commemorative illustration with the announcement. Along with an announcement, the franchise has also confirmed a release date and posted a teaser trailer. The anime’s new official website and Twitter have also posted the visuals.
Manabu Ono, whose resume expands to titles such as Sword Art Online: War of Underworld and Sakura Wars the Animation is set to direct the series. GEEKTOYS (Date a Live IV) is the confirmed animation production company. The cast for the anime includes Yuki Sakakihara (Nanaki Ralei in The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt) as Polka Shinoyama. Inori Minase ( Rem in Re:Zero- Starting a Life in Another World) will voice Misaki Sakimiya. Lastly, Yuma Uchida (Megimu in Jujutsu Kaisen) is the voice actor for Takumi Kuruya.
Dead Mount Death Play: The Supernatural Reverse Isekai
The story of theDead Mount Death Play manga has been listed as a reverse isekai. The manga is written by Ryohgo Narita and published by Square Enix. It began serialization in Young Gangan in 2017. Currently, the manga’s 10th tankoubon (compiled) volume will be released on November 25th, 2022. Yen Press is releasing the manga in English.

Yen Press currently describes the manga as;

Currently, there is no definite release timeline for the upcoming Dead Mount Death Play anime. It is, however, expected to be released in 2023.
