The popular asymmetric PvP horror Dead by Daylight just launched its latest update, ‘A Binding of Kin’, today, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google Stadia, PC, and Switch. Almost half a year since the Silent Hill crossover, this update is bringing two new additional characters: Élodie Rakoto and The Twins. Interestingly, The Twins is the first Dead by Daylight Killer that’s comprised of two characters that you can control individually. Let’s read up on the characters’ short backgrounds and spotlight trailer below.

First up, The Twins, known as Charlotte and Victor Deshayes, were born in 17th century France as conjoined twins. Forced to watch their mother burned alive for being accused as a witch and living on the run developed their disdain for humanity. But when Victor, still attached to his sister’s body, had died, a thick fog enveloped them both. Miraculously, he detached from her and started running towards the unknown.

And Élodie is your new Survivor. Although she grew up in Paris, her heart remained in her home country, Madagascar. During a trip to Dyer Island, her parents mysteriously disappeared. Élodie spent the next 14 years searching for an explanation through occult studies. Which end up making her a target to The Black Vale, a group of occult fanatics. As she was trying to escape their hold, she too fell into the Abyss — just like her parents…

Aside from The Twins and Élodie, Dead by Daylight‘s A Binding of Kin update is adding several new updates as well. From graphical updates for five maps of the Autohaven Wreckers and snowy Ormond; Freddy Krueger and the Nightmare on Elm Street Survivor coming to PS5, Stadia, Switch, and the Windows Store; to several festive cosmetics later this year:
