DC has launched its first Webtoon series titled Batman: Wayne Family Adventures. Currently, this title is the first publication in a new partnership between DC and Webtoon.

Batman: Wayne Family Adventures finds the Dark Knight and his family taking a much-deserved break. However, when the newest addition to the family (Duke Thomas) moves into Wayne Manor, Bruce finds his hands more than full. With his family of adopted, fostered, and biological child vigilantes, Bruce finds himself asking if being a father is harder than being Batman.

Webtoon is a mobile storytelling app and is currently the world’s leading digital storytelling platform. It currently has over 72 million active users on average. Most recently, Webtoon has also confirmed the live-action adaptation of one of their biggest titles Yumi’s Cells.

Wayne Family Adventures and Batman Day 2021

The partnership between DC and Webtoon was announced earlier this month. Batman: Wayne Family Adventures is the first of many standalone webcomics in the DC Universe. While many of them are still in developmental phases, it is assumed that many of them don’t need any previous readings. The collaboration between the two companies comes with the hope that Webtoon will introduce these iconic characters to the younger generation of comic readers. Daniel Cherry III, DC General Manager, then went on to say

Regarding DC, this is one of many releases that DC has for Batman Day 2021. The definite day for the celebration is September 18. Other confirmed releases include Batman: The Audio Adventures, and a custom Batman comic with FaZe Clan on September 24.
